Century Link field , Seattle , WA - This game was supposed to the match up between Super Bowl contenders ! I'm not sure what the San Francisco 49ers ate for dinner but they seemed adrift once the game started. On the part of the Niners the game didn't live up to the hype !

From the very start of the game the 49er offense couldn't get on track ! Seattle's defensive front stopped RB Frank Gore in his tracks. Colin Kaepernick for the second game in a row was extremely reluctant to run despite many opportunities to pick up first down yardage. The offensive line was a disaster, allowing the Sea Hawks to score on a safety early in the game. They later added a field goal . This total of five points constituted all the scoring for the first half. Despite Seattle QB Russell Wilson being totally lackluster and missing with most of his passes ! Halftime score 5-0 in favor of the Sea Hawks

To add to all this was a 60 minute rain and lightening delay ! This didn't matter because the 49ers as a team completely lost their poise in the second half. The Niners racked up 121 yards of penalty yards. Much of this was due to their players retaliating to the taunts and cheap shots of the Sea Hawk players. These penalties were drive killers and represented a breakdown in the team's disciplined approach !

The Seattle Sea Hawks just let the 49ers defeat themselves ! Marshon Lynch ran for 98 yards on the Niner defense , Wilson really didn't have to run that much. Colin Kaepernick was inaccurate and his receivers dropped many passes. By the time Kaepernick realized he would have to use his feet to get vital first down yardage it was too late to matter !
