The Seattle Sea Hawks despite the victory shouldn't be beating on their chests ! Their offense and Russell Wilson are still not putting up very many points. They had the ball for plus thirty six minutes and even with five Niner turnovers couldn't really put the game out of reach until the fourth quarter !
The 49er offense couldn't produce. Last week's hero Anquan Bolden was a no show with only one catch ! That the Seattle secondary used press coverage shouldn't have been a surprise. The Niner coaching staff should let Colin Kaepernick be himself. He is a running threat and still hasn't mastered long passing. He is never going to be the pocket passer that Payton Manning is , so why should he try. If he took the easy yards in the first half , then Sea Hawk defense would have played differently in the second half of the game.
There is no excuse for the sloppy game the 49ers played. If they want to be champs they can't let a team of smack talkers like the Seattle Sea Hawks push them around. Football is not ballet ! If you want to have a rushing game the offensive line has to muscle up ! Seattle ran 70 plays to the Niner's 51. The defense was on the field too long ! The next game is against the struggling Indianapolis Colts and the slow footed Andrew Luck . Message to Aldon Smith : play in control and you will still get your sacks !
