( SAN FRANCISCO )- Folks if Charlie Sheen can rant surely yours truely Scary Barry is entitled to go off on a subject near and dear to his heart , the farce of San Francisco politics ! Ever since Gavin Newsom was elected Mayor, the city of San Francisco has waged war on organized labor at the behest of the local power brokers. This war continues to this very day. The movers and shakers are bound and determined to deprive San Francisco workers of any benefits and decent pay under the guise of balancing the budget.
The last elections in San Francisco utilizing rank voting was a sham solely intended to circumvent the Progressive vote and put into office , anti-Labor candidates who dishonestly portray themselves as moderates ! These folks who only identify with the rich , join two others ,Sean Elsbend and Carmen Chu , appointed by ex mayor and wannabe celebrity Gavin Newson, in a unholy alliance with their puppet masters Willie Brown,Rose Pac and the " Billionaires Club " to control local politic's just like a rigged WWE wrestling match !
Local voters in the City by the Bay probally think their votes mean something. Well , the jokes on them ! The City has been hijacked by flunkies for business and outsiders from Los Angeles ! The whole scene involved with picking Ed Lee as interim Mayor was bad business as usual. It isn't bad enough that the local print media mainly consisting of the San Francisco Chronicle and San Francisco Examiner will only print negative stories about organized Labor but all the bay area television stations forgot about " Equal time " for organized Labor to respond to the attacks on the working rank and file !
Board of Supervisor's chair David Chiu turned his back on the Progressives to help orchestrate along with Gavin Newsom , Willie Brown and Rose Pac to put in Ed Lee in as the interim Mayor. Newsom stalled leaving San Francisco to take the Lt.Govenor position ( appointment's secretary and ribbon cutter ) in order to facilitate this puppet show. Now the Board of Supervisors has two Newsom appointees , one supervisor who ran unopposed and victors from the rank voting sham on it ! Then you have non mayoral candidate Ed Lee making the rounds , while David Chiu is running for Mayor to split the Chinese vote. These folks really don't like the prospect of Leeland Yee being elected as Mayor. They might lose their place
San Francisco is now the official place to use as a political stepping stone or business to use as a shakedown. There is no better example than that of George Gascon the present District Attorney of San Francisco. Just a short while ago he was the Police Chief. He was a darling of the local press who touted his every supeficial victory as a great move to reform the San Francisco Police department. This guy who couldn't cut it in the business world or make chief in Los Angeles got a sack of money to be chief and completely screwed up the Police department. He brought in his LA buddy Jeff Godown to help plunder the City. Then this same guy jumps ship to become the District Attorney of San Francisco !
Now look at Mr. Public Defender Jeff Adachi. Does this guy have a job ? Apparently he spends all his time devising legislation that would screw all rank and file workers out of pension benefits. How does this clown have time to do his official job ? Why doesn't the interim Mayor Ed Lee direct this guy to do his job and leave pension reform to people are not backed by a conservative billionaire. Makes me wonder if the residents of San Francisco are asleep at the switch.
I was born and raised in San Francisco. I remember sunny days in the City, a place of industry, where Labor leader Harry Bridges of the Longshoremen was seen as a hero. The great Liberal bastion of California now resembles Wisconsin. All the transplants from other states are trying to turn My town into a haven for the Tea Party folks ! Its hard to explain all the changes to the working folks because Labor can't get a fair shake in the Media. So there is only one story being told ! The Big guys have managed to buy almost everyone off ! Scary Barry is a voice in the wilderness in the land of weasels who only believe in the buck ! I haven' sold out and will go to my grave that way !
