BRONCOS BEAT JETS 17-13

Last night in front of a rabid mile high football crowd Tim Tebow led the Denver Broncos to a victory over the New York Jets. For those unacquainted with Tim Tebow I offer the following.
Long ago from the magical kingdom of Tebowland came a young man named Tim who seemed blessed with a natural talent for football. Young Tim entered college and excelled at football earning countless accolades and was the first round draft pick of the Denver Broncos. The football world laughed at the foolhardy choice of the Broncos. Everyone knew that young Tim couldn't adapt to the style of play in the land of the NFL. Clouds of doubt hovered over young Tim as the football critics circled around like vultures ready to feast on an almost dead prey. Then the seas parted this season and young Tim was given the starting job as quarterback for the Denver Broncos. Young Tim battled mightily to overcome his foes and displayed a propensity for late game comebacks . Still the critics from the kingdom of he can't do it land said he stood no chance. What was young Tim to do ! Then on Thursday night with angels perched on his shoulders young Tim directed a 95 yard drive to beat the evil New York Jets. The vultures were temporarily charmed into submission. There was peace on earth. Young Tim was surely blessed !
Fans have realized that Tim Tebow has some kind of mojo that defies conventional football wisdom. He is a straight shot of unadulterated charisma ! Every week the expert NFL football analysts of every stripe savage his unconventional football talent. Its hard to accept Tebow's success because he doesn't fit the image of a superstar. He doesn't dress like a pimp, hang with hoes , drink and drug. where is his bling ? The nerve of him to praise The Lord ! Who is his agent ?
Last night the Denver Bronco defense hung tough and confidently waited for Tebow to get his comeback mojo on in the fourth quarter. Despite the Jet's defense knowing that the pass challenged Tebow was certain to run they couldn't shut him down in the clutch. The post game interview crowd and the New York Jets were stunned. Tebow completely neglected to take credit for the Denver victory and remained humble. The cynical still probably think Tebow is auditioning for a movie role and is an outright phony.
Whatever Tim has the Scary one would gladly take a slice ! His Bronco team mates aren't spending time over analyzing whats happening and the fans are being entertained. During the post game coverage it was mentioned in passing that maybe Alex Smith could have been handled in a different way coming from college system that featured a spread offense. Tebow's unconventional style could lead to NFL coaches being more flexible about quarterback play.
Tebow's success has opened the door for some other young quarterbacks and created a nightmare for opposing defensive schemes. Its all good ! There is still room out there for some fairy tales. Maybe I'll start doing the Tebow myself !
