( SAN FRANCISCO )- After all the ridiculous posturing and ego tripping on the part of Lebron James and Dwayne Wade it must be embarassing to lose by 30 points to the San Antonio Spurs. When Lebron left Cleveland in the dust for the Miami Heat, the media and all the hangerons touted the new " dream " team. Special videos, mega hype and styling by Wade, Lebron and Chris Bosh. They let the flash of publicity outpace their game.
Thursday they gave it up to the New York Knicks after leading by 24 points in the third quarter. Maybe they were too busy studying the angle of their shots to play defense and then on friday the Heat weren't in the game after the first quarter. Its been suggested that Miami only does good against the scrubs. Theres merit to that argument. Some players buy into the overblown reputation of the Lebron,Wade and Bosh and give it up ! Now the truth is out. These guys haven't figured it out yet .Their not looking like champs but more like chumps.
I hope the big three haven't been fitted for championship rings because its not going to happen this year. When I watch the Miami games it seems like Wade and Lebron are taking turns at making the ESPN highlights but the pieces don't quite fit right. Now none of the opposing teams are impressed by their reputations. The expectations were so high. Its truely a bummer for Lebron or Wade to try and explain their losses at the postgame press conferences. People around the globe just holding their breaths waiting for Lebron to explain in dramatic fashion why ! The stock market tumbles ! Will fans start using Lebron posters as shelters after they lose their homes ?
I'm not going to hold my breath ! The Scary one is fed up with over hyped jockstars and the media jockcasters who conspire to waste my time with imitation entertainment. Its not all about the icons and their expensive cribs on MTV , its about giving the fans something besides propaganda. Maybe if Lebron, Dwayne and Chris can star in their own detective movie they'll get a clue ! All three of them together wouldn't equal Michael Jordon. He didn't just look pretty dunking . He turned the Bulls into a game winning machine ! He had the stats and the game to make it happen. All the sport's analysts out there indulging in gratuitous butt kissing won't make the Miami Heat NBA champs if they don't have the stones to gut out ugly games. Lebron looks like a world beater when his team is blowing out the competition. The big three bully the bottom feeders and choke against champs. Right now thats their reputation unless things turn around real fast !
