"Scary" Barry Rodriguez Productions (BRP): NINERS AND KRAZY KLOWN LOSE TO BUFFALO 45-16

Since the departure of coach Jim Harbaugh the San Francisco 49ers resemble a sinking submarine. The Chip Kelly era has not been able to right the ship. The latest installment of " the ship wreck " was the woeful defeat at the hands of the Buffalo Bills 45-16. As in all their other defeats , Niner games are hard to watch in the second half. That is when it becomes apparent just how bad the team is.

The big news for this game was the promotion of Colin " Krazy Klown " Kaepernick , formerly known as " simple Kap " to the position of starting quarterback . In the first quarter Kaepernick missed a wide open Torrey Smith for what should have been a sure touchdown with a overthrown pass. This the hallmark of Kaepernick. His passes are usually too long or too short. In the past , receivers such as Michael Crabtree , now with the Oakland Raiders, were being blamed for not being able to achieve " separation " from their defenders. Kaepernick was the real cause !

The Buffalo Bills with Chip Kelly castoff LeSean McCoy leading the way exposed the weakness of the porous 49er 3-4 defense. With no standout linebackers and Nick Bellore , subbing for Navorro Bowman as the Mike linebacker, McCoy rumbled for 140 yards on 19 carries. That was the story of the game. The Buffalo Bills amassed 312 rushing yards. Quarterback Tyrod Taylor added 68 yards on 8 carries.

Early in the game Kaepernick completed some mid range passes and hit Torrey Smith for a 53 yard touchdown , which was due to a busted coverage on the part of the Buffalo defense. This pass was under thrown but Smith was wide open so it didn't matter. By the second half kaepernick was again back to his usual self , rushing passes and missing the mark. Here and there he would bust out a long run but on the whole there was no marked improvement. He was not much better than Blaine Gabbert in his futile imitation of a real starting NFL quarterback.

The Bills and their coach Rex Ryan have to feel good about their 4th straight victory , even if beating the 49ers was just like going over a speed bump ! Niner coach Chip Kelly , who was shown the door by the Philadelphia Eagles after 3 seasons , is walking on extremely thin ice. The present team, the product of a poor draft by GM Trent Baalke ,and mismanagement by him and CEO Jed York , is in search of a scapegoat . Kelly is the man on the hot seat ! The Niner fans are deserting the team in droves ! Who can blame them !

There is no end in sight for the slide , with the present management. The york's got their new stadium in Santa Clara , left most of the longtime fans in the dust, cast out a winning coach and via the departure of many players due to criminal activity or discontent are now fielding a bottom feeding squad. They have very little entertainment value. Then there are the distractions such as the criminal conduct by Bruce Miller and the recent awakening of Social consciousness by Colin " Krazy Klown " Kaepernick . Why bother rooting for this !

Let me briefly vent on the subject of Colin Kaepernick. Please indulge me ! Scary Barry is strong defender of the first amendment . It gives every citizen the unfettered right to express themselves as they see fit. Krazy Klown Kaepernick has no public track record as an out front proponent of Civil Rights ! He has been on a downward spiral as a NFL quarterback , that is his profile. He is a " johnny come lately " activist with no credibility ! He represents only another reason for fans to tune out. I believe he has an identity problem. The 49er organization , badly in need of positive PR , jumped at the opportunity to support him with some vague promise of financial backing . Kaepernick was a no show at a church and has made a promise of donating one million dollars to a worthy cause. he has some temporary followers , fair weather wannabes and millionaire players.

The future of the San Francisco 49ers is grim for the fans who actually attend to watch football not their laptops or cellphones ! The owners will make out no matter what. Look at the bright side folks. They didn't move the team to Las Vegas ! Maybe the organization can import a few cable cars to Santa Clara so we can all pretend the Niners are a San Francisco team ! Don't spend your rent money on this mess please.
