Century field, Seattle, WA - Coach Jim Harbaugh of the San Francisco 49ers received a big loss for his 49th birthday. It was as if the football God's decreed he should lose ! The high scoring Seattle Seahawks performed as expected while the Niners proved they can't win two big games in a row. The Scary one was not surprised by the 42-13 thrashing. My prior articles  have clearly pointed out the weaknesses of the San Francisco club. A combination of another bad game plan , an inexperienced starting quarterback , injuries and questionable officiating produced the nightmare game for the 49ers. The spark on offense was never there and it wasn't due to the game long rain !

It was all over in the first quarter. On the Niners first offensive series it was three dropped passes. Then the Niner defense still hung over from last week's game against the New England Patriots, let the Seahawks run successfully on the their first offensive series. Seattle running back           Marshawn Lynch scored on a 24 yard run early in the first quarter. The Niners had no answer on the offense. The deafening noise in the stadium confused the inexperienced Kaepernick. In a game where the 49er's defense was destined to be on the field more than their offense it was no surprise when the Seahawks quickly scored again. Seattle's slippery quarterback Russell Wilson frustrated the Niner defense time and again.

The second quarter was no better for the 49ers as the offense stalled and Seattle scored two more touchdowns. One of the touchdowns was the result of a blocked field goal attempt that was picked up by the Seahawk's Richard Sherman, who sped 90 yards for a touchdown. It was already 21-0 and there was still ample time on the game  clock for Seattle to score again , which they did. All the Niners could put on the score board was six points for the entire half. David Akers booted field goals of 33 and 54 yards.

The second half saw Seattle scoring twice more. Doug Baldwin caught two touchdown passes. The game was a disaster in progress as 49er receivers Vernon Davis and Mario Manningham sustained injuries and could not return . Michael Crabtree had another good game but Frank Gore hardly carried the ball. Kaepernick had opportunities but couldn't convert in the red zone until the very end of the game. His big arm went down field and the smoke cleared there was no scoring 1

Down two of their receivers , Kaepernick and the Niner offense was shut down by the Seahawk defense when it counted. It was dreadful to watch close ups of Seattle's coach Pete Carroll smirking on the side lines ! The rain kept coming down and San Francisco just had to play on. The defense was bone tired of chasing Russell Wilson around without getting even one sack ! The entire 49er scoring in the second half consisted of one touch down. The game was a total rout !

The east coast centric television announcers were ecstatic as the Niners had a meltdown ! On Monday the 49er coaching staff will be asking themselves some hard questions. I don't put any blame on Colin Kaepernick. The San Francisco big brains put him in as a starter and right into the fire ! He has done a remarkable job for being so green ! The Scary one still thinks that it was premature to replace                Alex Smith in the starting quarterback position. Alex doesn't set the field on fire but he has the experience and guts not to fold in tough games !

It is unreasonable to expect the defense to hold up forever ! Most of the starters play every down. This is the weakness of the defensive unit. Both the Niners and the Seahawk's defenses were affected by the officiating. The players were reluctant to make big hits after being called for penalties on routine plays. Looking forward to the playoffs the 49ers are now just a big question mark due to their injury situation , their inexperienced quarterback and the inconsistent play of their special teams. If it was up to me I would give Ted Ginn Jr. a ticket to the                            " The Last Train to Clarksville " out of town and put an end to Colin Kaepernick's                " on the job training " !

Note : This game is dedicated to the faithful San Francisco 49er fans who threw their television remotes against the wall in frustration. Remember folks , its the Christmas season so don't get mad at your neighbors who call in a noise complaint to the Police because you were screaming at the top of your lungs. Always keep it in mind that professional football players are being paid big bucks not you ! Tomorrow is just another day ! Peace and love to all !
