Just this last week an arbitrator named Shyam Das ruled against Major League Baseball and overturned Milwaukee Brewer's MVP' Ryan Braun's 50 game suspension for testing positive for elevated levels of testosterone. Now MLB is freaking out as if the World is ending. The handling of the test sample did not strictly comply with procedures so that was that ! The Player's Union and MLB had agreed to the set up. Now MLB is crying about the decision. They agreed to the procedures and the arbitration method. Wheres the beef ?
This news on top of the Federal government dropping an investigation involving 7 time Tour De France winner Lance Armstrong and the US Postal team, alleging criminal use of drugs ! The world is being turned upside down for the anti-doping Nazis who are making careers out of persecuting jocks. Never fear Tea Party Bible thumpers ! The US Anti-Doping Agency vows to keep investigating Lance.
The Ryan Braun case was a real setback for all the pencil necked press hacks like Mark Fainaru-Wada who have jump started their careers by riding the steroid frenzy to glory. Good old Fainaru-Wada is now the go to guy for bland commentary on Performance Enhancing Drugs in professional sports. He tasted fame with his book on Barry Bonds and couldn't get enough !
Professional crybaby and snitch Jose Conseco started the whole mess. Everybody got to grandstand ! Senators , religous folks and any other big mouth who had widespread media coverage. They were all licking their chops just thinking about adding another jock scalp to their belt ! The Braun affair has them confused. Things just didn't go as planned !
The Federal government's failed War on Drugs has had a big impact on professional sports. Folks , if you see granny smoking a joint then you must do your duty and turn her in ! Even the UFC is part of the scam. Recently Nick Dias was suspended for having marijauna in his system. The you had some sport's writer calling the retiring NFL running back Ricky Williams a pothead. This is part of the system that tried to hang Ryan Braun out to dry ! Everyone is making billions of dollars out of the jocks without working up a sweat !
Good for you Ryan ! Let those chumps complain. Let legal agreements stand ! Major League Baseball quit complaining and go back to counting your money !
